I started shooting pictures in 1983 when I bought a Minolta X-700 35mm camera. I fell in love with photography and it had remained a hobby for years. I shot a few weddings for my wife's very large family during that time and I really enjoyed it. With the "coming age" of digital cameras I began to seriously consider opening a photography business. So, in 2002 I "opened" for business on a part-time basis. I shoot 12-15 weddings each year along with family and business portraits. I'm under no constraint to "pay the mortgage" with your photography dollar. My prices reflect that attitude. My emphasis is on quality, not quantity.
